- - - - - - - - - JUNE 22 - - - - - - - - -c r a z i n e s s OMG. I saw Miyavi in concert on Thursday, June 17. Skipped an entire day of summer class and waited in line for some agonizingly cold and boring hours. But of course, it was ALL WORTH IT. The venue was gorgeous, but there were probably only 200-300 people maybe. Although I'm a bit bad at guessing at numbers, it couldn't have been far too much higher than that. 400 at most. Anyway, a fairly small but fairly insane crowd. Miyavi has such a powerful, hyped stage presence -- he totally got everyone screaming and jumping, even with just a small motion of those super skinny long fingers. We were all smashed together. There was sweat and I could smell something burning. Apparently pot. He leaned forward and everyone grabbed at his hand, and he even got a fan to make a sound on his guitar. I couldn't believe he was so daring as to let such scary (yes, SCARY...the atmosphere in the crowds was quite feverish) fans grab him! I would have had serious concerns if I were him, but he did it not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES in the two hours! The very last time, everyone surged to the stage and, as I was magically pressing myself closer to the front with each moment, I...got to touch his hand. TWICE. It was so. Freaking. EPIC. Miyavi ended with Are You Ready To Rock? and grabbed a waterbottle and poured it out on all of us. He sprayed some out of hs mouth at some people in the middle, which drove them nuts hahah. And the one thing I will always remember him saying: "You guys...are f*cking crazy."
d r a w i n g I'm getting reading for two conventions coming up soon! Metrocon in Tampa, Florida, and of course Anime Evolution here in Vancouver!!! If you're going to any of those, tell me so we can freak out and meet, haha xD~!!!
o t h e r I started a Twitter account O_O;; I don't really even know what to keep updating on...I feel pressured to make my life sound like a rockstar's life, haha. Anyway, for those interested:
twitter.com/missdangercandyAlso, we weren't allowed to take pics at the Miyavi concert, but towards the second half I thought, Screw it. Not like any security guards could ACTUALLY penetrate the massively chaotic and possibly dangerous moshpit if they even
dared. So feel free to watch a small clip of the concert that I uploaded to youtube
